How much does it cost to participate?
There is no fee to participate in Harbor Points; however, standard rates and fees for use of your Bar Harbor Bank & Trust Visa® Debit Card and checking account may apply.

How do I view my account online? What information do I need?
The first time you use your Bar Harbor Bank & Trust Visa® debit card for a signature purchase, you will automatically be enrolled in the free Harbor Points program. You will receive a welcome letter to alert you that you’ve become a program member. After that, you can register to manage your points online. From BHBT.com go to the Harbor Points website and click on "Register Here." Enter the primary account holder’s name exactly as it appears on your welcome letter. You’ll also need to enter the last 4 digits of the checking account and the primary account holder’s social security number. (The primary account holder is the first name listed on the account, if it is a joint account.) When registering, you can choose to receive a monthly e-statement that will give you a summary of your points as well as bonus point offers. You will receive 500 bonus points for registering to view your account online and an additional 500 bonus points for choosing e-statement notifications! Once you have completed the registration form you will be able to log on.

How can I check my point total?
Your point summary is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You can check your points by logging in to view your account online or by calling the Harbor Points Service Center at 1-877-4BH-POINTS (1-877-424-7646).

How often are my points updated?
Points are credited to your account monthly, so it may take up to 45 days for points to be applied to your account. You will receive a semi-annually mailed paper statement or may choose to receive a monthly e-statement.

What is the minimum number of points I can redeem?
Harbor Points can be redeemed in various increments for Merchandise, Travel, Gift Cards, eGift Cards, Downloads, and Charity. Downloadable rewards may be redeemed for as little as 750 points.

Is there a limit to the number of points I can earn?
No. There is no limit to the number of points you can earn.

Do my points ever expire?
Points are good for three years from the end of the calendar year in which they are earned. If there are no points earned or redeemed on your account for a period of six months, your Harbor Points account will be automatically closed and any unused points forfeited.

What is the best way to redeem my points?
The best way to redeem points is online because your order is instantly received, and you have many more merchandise and redemption options. Select any item from the hundreds available and compare your available points with the number needed for the item you want. Downloadable rewards can be received instantly.

What if I don't have Internet access?
You can call the Harbor Points Service Center at 1-877-4BH-POINTS (1-877-424-7646). A Redemption Specialist will be happy to assist you. Please be advised that music and many of the gift card options are only available online, and they cannot be ordered through the Harbor Points Service Center phone number.

How do I redeem points for travel?
Log onto your Harbor Points online account, click "Redeem Points" and choose "Travel." You can then use our online Travel Resource Center to book your own travel online. Or you can call our Travel Resource Center Specialist at 1-800-932-9894 and book your trip.

Why is there a reduction of points?
Normal redemptions will reduce your points balance as will expired points. Unused points expire after 3 years on active accounts. If there are no earned or redeemed points for a period of 6 months, your Harbor Points account will be closed and any unused points forfeited. Also, if you returned purchased merchandise, the points are removed from your account, which will result in a reduction of your points. In rare instances, this could actually give you a negative point balance.

Why can't I access my account online?
If your account is less than 60 days old, you may have to wait a brief period to get into the system. If your account is more than 60 days old and you are still having difficulty, please call the Harbor Points Service Center at 1-877-4BH-POINTS (1-877-424-7646).

How do I combine two or more Harbor Points accounts into one account?
Please call the Harbor Points Service Center at 1-877-4BH-POINTS (1-877-424-7646). Have the account numbers that you wish to combine ready and we will be happy to assist you.
